He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 Make my task easy 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Harun, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify 33 "And remember You much, 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
