The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and the drivers driving, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
