۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” – 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 'No indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the Envoys. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
