54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
HA MIM. 1 This is a revelation from the Compassionate, the Merciful. 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 good tidings to bear, and warning, but most of them have turned away, and do not give ear. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
