So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time. 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say, "He has invented it himself"? Indeed, they are not willing to believe. 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 Or, were they created out of nothing? Or, were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Are with them the treasures of thy Lord! or are they the dispensers? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
