The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
