We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Trumpet was blown; “This is the Day of the promised punishment.” 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom. 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
