And if they reject you as false, tell them: 'My deeds are for myself and your deeds for yourselves. You will not be held responsible for my deeds, nor I for your deeds. 41 And among them are some who listen to you, but can you make the deaf to hear, even though they apprehend not? 42 Some of them look toward you: But can you show the blind the way even when they cannot see? 43 Verily Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught but mankind wrong themselves. 44 The Day when He will gather them, (it will be) as though they had lingered but an hour of the Day and they will recognize one another. Lost are those who belied the meeting with their Lord and were not guided. 45 And whether We show thee [in this world something of what We hold in store for those deniers of the truth,] or whether We cause thee to die [before that retribution takes place - know that, in the end,] it is unto Us that they must return; and God is witness to all that they do. 46 And every nation had an apostle; so when their apostle came, the matter was decided between them with justice and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 47 They say, "When will this promise come to pass -- if you speak the truth?" 48 Say: 'I have no power to benefit or harm myself except as Allah wills. To every nation is a fixed term and when their term comes they cannot delay it for an hour, nor can they bring it forward. 49 Say: 'Have you considered? If His chastisement comes upon you by night or day, what part of it will the sinners seek to hasten? 50 What, when it has come to pass, will you then believe in it? Now, when already you seek to hasten it!' 51 Then it shall be said to the evildoers: 'Taste the punishment of eternity! Shall you be recompensed except according to what you earned' 52 They ask you, "Is that (punishment) true?" Tell them, "It certainly is. I swear by my Lord. You can not escape from (God's retribution)". 53
