[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. 52 But then they divided up their order into different creeds, each section rejoicing in what it had come to have. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ Even if We were to grant them mercy and rescue them from hardship, they would still blindly persist in their rebellion. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
