The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 Perhaps you consume yourself that they are not believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky so that their leaders would remain bowed before it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. 6 What, have they not regarded the earth, how many therein We have caused to grow of every generous kind? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
