'Aad denied the messengers 123 When their brother Hud said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 127 Build ye on every eminence a landmark in vanity? 128 And do you take to yourselves underground reservoirs, in order to live for ever! 129 "And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? 130 So fear Allah, and obey me. 131 “Fear Him Who has aided you with the things you know.” 132 "Freely has He bestowed on you cattle and sons,- 133 "And Gardens and Springs. 134 I am afraid that you will suffer the torment of the Day of Judgment." 135 They replied: 'It is the same to us whether you admonish or whether you are not one of the admonishers. 136 “This is nothing but the tradition of former people.” 137 "And we are not going to be punished." 138 And they belied him; so We destroyed them. Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
