۞ Say to them, (O Prophet): “I give you but one counsel: stand up (for heaven's sake), singly and in pairs, and then think: what is it in your companion (to wit, Muhammad) that could be deemed as madness?” He is nothing but a warner, warning you before the coming of a grevious chastisement. 46 Say: "No reward have I ever asked of you [out of anything] that is yours: my reward rests with none but God, and He is witness unto everything!" 47 Say thou: verily my Lord hurleth the truth: the Knower of things hidden. 48 Proclaim, “The truth has come, and falsehood dare not commence nor return.” 49 Affirm, "If I am in error, I shall carry the burden thereof; and if I am rightly guided, it is because of what my Lord has revealed to me. Truly, He is all-hearing and near at hand." 50 IF THOU couldst but see [how the deniers of the truth will fare on Resurrection Day,] when they will shrink in terror, with nowhere to escape - since they will have been seized from so close nearby 51 And say: We (now) believe therein. But how can they reach (faith) from afar off, 52 They had surely denied it before and aimed without seeing from so far away. 53 And a barrier is set between them and that they desire, as was done with the likes of them aforetime; they were in doubt disquieting. 54
