The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
