۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 Are we then not to die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
