Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 Those who denied the Book and what We sent with Our Noble Messengers; so they will soon come to know. – 70 When carcans are about their necks and chains. They are dragged 71 into the boiling water, then into the Fire they are poured; 72 Then it will be said unto them: where are those whom ye have been associating? 73 Beside Allah? They will say: they have failed us; aye! we have not been calling upon aught afore. Thus doth Allah lead the infidels astray. 74 That is because ye had been exulting in the earth without right, and because ye had been strutting. 75 Enter ye the gates of Hell as abiders therein. Hapless is the abode of the stiff-necked. 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 And indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God's leave. Yet when God's will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. 78
