The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
