The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
