It is He who sends down water from heaven, which provides drink for you and brings forth trees on which your herds feed. 10 With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. 11 And He has subjected to you the night and the day, the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand. 12 And what He has multiplied for you in the earth is of various hues; surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who remember. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 He has set up on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake under you, and rivers and tracks, so that you may find your way, 15 and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Is there one who createth like unto one who createth not? Will ye not then be admonished? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 And God knows what you keep secret and what you publish. 19 Those whom they (Al-Mushrikun) invoke besides Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created. 20 Dead, without life they are, and do not know when they will be raised. 21
