A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat. 33 And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun -- it runs to a fixed resting-place; that is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 38 And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 except Our mercy which could enable them to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 And whenever a sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord, they always turn away from it! 46 And when it is said to them, 'Expend of that God has provided you,' the unbelievers say to the believers, 'What, shall we feed such a one whom, if God willed, He would feed? You are only in manifest error!' 47 They also say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 48 They await but one Shout, which will seize them while they dispute. 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
