Whatever of misfortune striketh you, it is what your right hands have earned. And He forgiveth much. 30 Ye cannot escape in the earth, for beside Allah ye have no protecting friend nor any helper. 31 And of His signs are the ships that run on the sea like landmarks; 32 He could stop the wind if He pleased, then they would be stranded on its surface. Surely there are signs in this for every one who perseveres and is grateful. 33 Or, He wrecks them for what they have earned, but He pardons a lot. 34 and that those who dispute concerning Our signs may know they have no asylum. 35 Now whatever ye have been given is but a passing comfort for the life of the world, and that which Allah hath is better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord, 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 And those who obeyed the command of their Lord and kept the prayer established; and whose affairs are with mutual consultation; and who spend in Our cause from what We have bestowed upon them. 38 who, when they are attacked, defend themselves. 39 Let harm be requited by an equal harm. But whoever pardons and amends will find his reward with God. He does not love the wrongdoers. 40 And whosoever harms after he has been harmed there is no blame upon them. 41 The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. 42 But he who bears with patience and forgives, surely complies with divine resolve. 43
