Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

But as for anyone who chooses to remain blind to the remembrance of the Most Gracious, to him We assign an [enduring] evil impulse, to become his other self: 36 Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright! 37 Till, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says [to his Qarin (Satan / devil companion)] "Would that between me and you were the distance of the two easts (or the east and west)" a worst (type of) companion (indeed)! 38 Because of the harm you did, it would be of no benefit to you today, you are partners in the punishment. 39 Can you [Prophet] make the deaf hear? Or guide either the blind or those who are in manifest error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 Or show you what We have promised them – We therefore have complete control over them. 42 So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. Surely you are on the Straight Way. 43 And most surely it is a reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned. 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
