Believers, obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him when you are hearing. 20 Do not be like those who said that they have heard (the Messenger's commands) but do not pay any attention to them. 21 ۞ Indeed the worst beasts in the sight of Allah are those (people) who are deaf, dumb – who do not have any sense. 22 If Allah had found in them any good. He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith). 23 Believers, respond to Allah and the Messenger when he calls you to that which revives you. Know that Allah is between the person and his heart, and that toHim you shall all be gathered. 24 Beware of sedition, which does not affect the oppressors alone among you, and know that the punishment of God is severe. 25 And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful. 26 O ye who believe! Betray not Allah and His messenger, nor knowingly betray your trusts. 27 Know that your wealth and children are a trial and that there is an immense reward with God. 28
