Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see; 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and them doth a clear flame pursue. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 And We have provided sustenance for you on it and also for those of whom you are not the providers. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure. 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 Truly, it is We who bring to life and We who cause death and We are the inheritor of all things. 23 Surely We know those of you who have passed before and those who will come later. 24 and, behold, it is thy Sustainer who will gather them all together [on Judgment Day]: verily, He is Wise, All-Knowing! 25
