We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
