Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
