Believers, do not devour usury multiplied many times over. Fear God, so that you may prosper, 130 Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ And rush towards forgiveness from your Lord, and towards a Paradise that can hold all the heavens and the earth in its width – prepared for the pious. 133 who spend in prosperity and in adversity, for those who curb their anger and those who forgive people. And Allah loves the charitable 134 And who, when they have committed an indecency or have wronged their souls, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven, (for who but God can forgive sins?) and do not knowingly persist in their misdeeds, 135 The reward of such will be forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever - a bountiful reward for workers! 136 There have been many dispensations before you; so travel in the land and see what befell those who denied the truth. 137 This is a plain exposition for men, and a guidance and admonition for the Godfearing. 138 And do not be negligent nor grieve – it is you who will be victorious if you are believers. 139 If you get hurt, certainly others have also experienced injuries. We have made people pass through the different turns of history so that God would know the true believers, have some of you bear witness to the people's deeds, {God does not love the unjust} 140 and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. 141 What! You assume that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet tested your warriors, nor yet tested the steadfast? 142 You had wished to know death before you faced it (in battle); so now you have seen it before your own eyes. 143
