The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
