O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil your (part of the) covenant, I shall fulfil My (part of the) covenant, and fear Me. 40 And believe in what I have sent down which verifies what is already with you; and do not be the first to deny it, nor part with it for little gain; and beware of Me. 41 Confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth. 42 Attend to your prayers, give the zakat [prescribed alms] and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Command ye mankind to piety and forget yourselves, the while ye read the Book! Understand then ye not! 44 Seek help with patience and prayer; this is indeed an exacting discipline, but not to the humble, 45 Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. 46
