The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
