The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
