The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
