▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 47 With spreading branches; 48 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 51 In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two. 52 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 53 They shall recline on couches lined with brocade, and within reach shall hang the fruits of the two Gardens. 54 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 jinn and mankindîwhich of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness? 60 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 61 Besides this, there will be two other gardens. 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 Dark green with foliage. 64 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 With fruits in them, and dates and pomegranates -- 68 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 69 Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions - 72 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 75 Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty. 76 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78
