۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 In a book that is protected 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
