I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
