Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
