But the leaders of his people who denied the truth and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, because We had granted them ease and plenty in their worldly life, said, "This is only a human being like yourselves, he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink, 33 If you follow a mortal like yourselves you will certainly be lost. 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ Away, away with that you are promised! 36 “There is nothing except our life of this world, we die and we live, and we are not to be raised.” 37 He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him." 38 He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me. 39 He replied: 'Before long, by the morning, they shall be remorseful' 40 Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong! 41 Then We raised after them other generations. 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor can it put it back. 43 We sent Our messengers one after the other but whenever a Messenger would come to a nation, its people would call him a liar and We would destroy one nation after the other, thus, only their stories were left behind them. God keeps the unbelievers far away from His Mercy. 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people. 46 and they said, 'What, shall we believe two mortals like ourselves, whose people are our servants?' 47 So they rejected them, calling them liars, and they too eventually became of those that were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture, that they may be guided. 49 And [as We exalted Moses, so, too,] We made the son of Mary and his mother a symbol [of Our grace,] and provided for both an abode in a lofty place of lasting restfulness and unsullied springs. 50
