Say: 'O my Lord, if Thou shouldst show me that they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
