The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters, 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said, "You are no more than a bewitched and insane man 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
