The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
