۞ Also, We revealed to Moses, saying: 'Go with My worshipers by night, for you will be followed' 52 Then Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities. 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
