The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 and the drivers driving, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
