Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
