Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 What, did we take them for a laughing-stock? Or have our eyes swerved away from them?' 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
