Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
