The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 and the brooding night! 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
