No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
