The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Woe to the stinters; 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 What! Do they not expect that they will be raised? 4 For a tremendous Day - 5 The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the Universe? 6 No indeed! Verily the deeds of the wicked are in the Record locked up in the prison-house! 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 A record of misdeeds written. 9 Woe, on that day, to those who have rejected God's revelations 10 Those who deny the Day of Justice. 11 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor, 12 Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old. 13 Nay, but their hearts are corroded by all [the evil] that they were wont to do! 14 Yes indeed they will be deprived of seeing their Lord on that day. 15 Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell. 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 Nay! Verily, the Record (writing of the deeds) of Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil), is (preserved) in 'Illiyyun. 18 And what will make you know what 'Illiyyun is? 19 It is a Book inscribed, 20 Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it. 21 Verily the pious will be in heaven, 22 On adorned couches, observing. 23 You can trace on their faces the joy of their bliss. 24 They will be given pure wine to drink, which is kept preserved, sealed. 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 a source [of bliss] whereof those who are drawn close unto God shall drink. 28 Verily those who have sinned were wont at those who had believed to laugh, 29 And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 and when they saw the believers, they said: “Lo! These are the erring ones”; 32 But they had not been sent as keepers over them! 33 So this day it is the believers who laugh at the disbelievers. 34 Regarding them from their cushioned seats. 35 "Are these deniers of the truth being [thus] requited for [aught but] what they were wont to do?" 36
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
