The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 - The piercing Star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
