Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
