The Key (Al-Faatehah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful 3 the Master of the Day of Doom. 4 You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always). 5 Guide us to the Straight Path, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
